Letâs take a deep, delicious breath together, Texas.Because SB3 is DEAD. Governor Greg Abbott has officially vetoed Senate Bill 3, the bill that threatened to criminalize hemp-derived THC, destroy small businesses, and strip Texans of plant-based wellness options.

đ§ What Was SB3?
SB3 aimed to:
Ban hemp-derived THCÂ like Delta-8 and compliant Delta-9
Wipe out Texas hemp brands overnight
Enforce felony-level charges for federally legal products
Consolidate the market under the ultra-restricted TCUP program
It wasnât about safetyâit was about power.
đ Why Did Gov Abbott Veto SB3?
In a surprising turn, Abbott listened to YOUâthe people.
In his veto message, he cited:
The billâs broad overreach
The economic impact on small businesses
The need for a more measured regulatory approach
This was a major win for farmers, veterans, entrepreneurs, patients, and cake ball connoisseurs alike.
â ď¸ But Donât Get Too Cozy: Special Session May Be Coming
